Other activities in this recreation area include boating, snorkeling, camping,
nature watching and fishing.
Spring flows from an underground aquifer, down a short river path and into Lake
George, the second largest lake in the state of Florida. Canoe rentals are
available at the Slat Springs Recreation Area Marina and you can travel along
the path of the spring and observe Florida’s lush tropical foliage. A simple
boat ramp is also available at the recreation area.
